Some of our chapter leader staff doing what they do best - leading and appreciating!
TAKE THE LEAD IN A LOCAL CHAPTER
Most of our chapters are already up and running - but sometimes, life happens and leaders move on. That’s where you come in!
We’re looking for passionate, dependable individuals who want to bake a difference by stepping into leadership roles in chapters that need new direction. You won’t be starting from scratch - you’ll be stepping into something that already exists, with support from our team.
We are currently only accepting leadership for existing chapters (plus Louisville, KY as a new launch). If you’re near one of those areas, read on!
Quick note before you begin:
To lead a chapter, you must be an active volunteer who’s baked or delivered at least one cake in the past 6 months.
(Louisville applicants are the only exception - we’ll train you from scratch!)
BEFORE YOU APPLY:
Please complete these quick checks - it saves everyone time and helps us focus support where it's needed most.
Are we already in your city? Check out our chapter locations page. If your city isn’t listed, we’re not currently accepting new chapters.
Are you in Louisville, KY? That’s the only place we’re launching a new chapter right now.
Is there a Cake4Kids chapter near you? We try not to overlap. Check their locations to be sure.
Wondering When We’ll Open More Chapters?
Right now, we’re only looking for leaders in Louisville, KY and a few existing chapters that need new support. We don’t currently have a timeline for opening new cities - and honestly, we might not for a while.
If you’re hoping to start a chapter where we don’t currently operate, feel free to check back at the end of the year. If we’re ready, we’ll update this page!
We know that’s not the most exciting answer - but we’re big believers in growing slowly, sustainably, and with the right people in place. Thanks for understanding 💛
What You’ll Be Doing:
Support volunteers and help coordinate deliveries when questions or issues arise
Maintain relationships with partner agencies
Fundraise $5,000/year and keep your chapter sustainable
Work with a Regional Director for ongoing support
Who We’re Looking For:
Organized, responsive humans
Strong communicators
~5–10 hours/week availability
A heart for community + a little cupcake flair
REGIONAL DIRECTORS
The Regional Director’s job is to help you run your chapter. Have questions about day-to-day operations?
Maybe you need help with a particular volunteer, or an agency? They’re here to support you through this!
(NOTE: All of our RDs are former Chapter Leaders, so they have definitely been in your shoes!)

Former OC Chapter Leader

Amanda Fierro

Former North Jersey Chapter Leader
FUNDRAISING
Before you’re onboarded as a chapter leader, you’ll need to raise an initial $1,000 fundraising commitment. This kickstarts your chapter and counts toward your first year’s $5,000 annual fundraising goal.
From there, each year your chapter will be responsible for raising $5,000 to stay active.
We know fundraising isn’t the most glamorous part of the job — but it’s what keeps our mission going and our cakes reaching the kids who need them. It’s essential, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
Hear what our staff have to say about fundraising in the videos below.
